I tried to come up with a title, and then suddenly the name of the song from "Grease" popped into my head. :D

I commissioned this picture from :iconarabatos: ~arabatos because I felt that l'il Lisa should have experienced a short summer romance while her family were holidaying in Little (pardon my spelling, I'm working from memory here) Pwaggmatasquarmsettport. All the boys in the group were rather non-descript, 2-dimensional characters, but Erin certainly wasn't, and she and Lisa got on very well indeed. The boys are probably the ones playing volleyball just in the background. :)

Lisa occasionally gets to change her outfits from her traditional lampshade dress, and these different outfits look really good; I love her "surfer dudette" style here. But it's a pity she never keeps her new style for more than just the one episode (or for that matter, keeps her new friend....the big RESET BUTTON kills all the fun).

Yeah, but you also wouldn't want them to burn their feet on the hot sand, would you? >_>

sand is only that hot at like noon on the summer solstice.

Really? Most of our beaches are pebble/stone-covered, not sand anyways. Wouldn't want to go barefoot on those suckers. >_>

Wow. The UK and America are so different. And yet, Americans are really just Englishmen in another country.

I think it might be because all the US beaches on the ocean, while for us, the east coast beaches are facing the North Sea (not as powerful) and most of the west coast is protected from the big ocean tides by Ireland. That's my theory anyways.

I wouldn't say so. Americans are a lot of peoples, not just English. More....general European, I'd say. :)
