Dennis' first and best female friend, Gina Gillotti features with him and others in the syndicated comic strip/various cartoon and live-action shows "Dennis the Menace" by Hank Ketcham.
I personally also love DC Thomsons' Dennis the Menace, but I don't argue over which is better; they're both great in different ways.
She's a bit of a tomboy, but doesn't ever let Dennis or their other pals forget that she's still a girl underneath. Unlike Margaret, she gets along well with Dennis and the boys, and isn't scared of bugs and lizards and the like.

Gina is a little more grown up here, and IMHO Dennis would be a fool if he ever decided to choose Margaret over Gina as a potential girlfriend. "Margaret who?"
